Phased return of lessons week commencing Monday 1st June. As guided by BHS, RDA and government guidelines.

Washington Riding Centre are pleased to announce that we can welcome clients back on a limited basis. In order to protect our clients and staff, safety measures have been put in place. We will initially re-open for 2 evenings and a Saturday morning. These sessions will run with the 9 remaining school horses. They have all been in regular exercise during the lockdown and are fit and ready for lessons.

The following risk assessed approach will be strictly followed :-

* All riders MUST be current clients of the centre and MUST be able to walk, trot and canter independently.

* Be able to mount, adjust stirrups, check girth and dismount independently.

* One to one 1/2 hour private lessons only / semi 1/2 hour privates with 2 people from same household.

* Only 1 spectator per lesson permitted / 2 parents from the same household.

* Clients are asked not to arrive any earlier than 10 minutes prior lesson time and depart after lesson.

* Stables, indoor school and building areas off limits.

* Lessons will run in outdoor school, to stay in line with government guidelines and correct social distancing.

* We ask parent / spectator to watch lesson from their car or at the picnic area.

* Your horse will be ready for you upon arrival in the outdoor school. All tack will have been disinfected and you will be asked to use sanitizer provided.

* All clients MUST wear their own gloves, riding hat and riding boots.

* No jumping or hacking.

* All lessons must be paid in advance over the telephone.

* 24 hour cancellation policy still applies, if under this time there’s a 50% charge.

* Do not attend if you or anyone in your household is showing symptoms of covid 19.

By reading this and booking a lesson, you have agreed to the terms and conditions in place. These conditions will be revised weekly and we will make everyone aware of any changes. We hope that everyone understands this approach is being taken to follow government guidelines and we apologise that not all of our clients will be able to return riding at this time.
We are thrilled that we can at least accommodate some riders back and thank you for all your patience.

To book call the centre on 0191 4162745. Our instructor Emma, will get back to you in due course to allocate you a slot. Thank you!
