Ginger is Horse of the Month for May 2016

Ginger was born in 1990. He is a chestnut gelding 12.0 HH and his breeding is unknown.

Ginger's early history is not known but we can pick up the trail from Bowes Equestrian Centre. He was sold to Karen Robertson for her granddaughter Paris. Ginger and Paris were a great pair and were successful show jumping.

Unfortunately Paris outgrew Ginger and he was retired. Karen bought a bigger pony for Paris and moved to livery at Washington Riding Centre. Ginger came too and started working in the riding school in October 2013.

Because of his size he is a real favourite with our younger riders. He is very forward going and lovely to ride and jump. He is getting on in years but doesn't act like it at all. He loves being groomed and is a very gentle pony.
